Calling all pumpkin carvers and Halloween enthusiasts! Bring your creative jack-o-lantern(s) down to Riverwalk Commons on Friday, November 1, 2024 to show them off one more time. Participate by either submitting your jack-o-lantern or painted pumpkin for a showcase and contest for a chance to win a prize (categories listed below) or attend the event from 6:30-8:30pm to view the display and vote for your favourites in each category.

Prize: $100 gift card to a Newmarket restaurant of your choice.
Contest Rules- Each pumpkin entry must be registered at the time of drop-off in order to be entered in the contest.
- Each entry can only win in one category. If a pumpkin has the most votes in more than one category, the prize will go to the runner up for the second category.
- In the case of a first place tie in a category, both pumpkins will receive a prize.
- All ballots must be completed at the event within the time of the event.
- Each attendee can only vote once.
- Gift card prizes must be to a Newmarket restaurant only.
- Winners will be notified after the event via email the week of November 4, 2024. Winning pumpkins will be posted on this website and on the Town of Newmarket's social media.
Event Details:
- Pumpkins may be carved and/or painted.
- All pumpkins dropped off will be provided with a number for all guests to reference when voting on their favourite pumpkin.
- The Town of Newmarket will be providing LED tea lights to insert into each pumpkin, where applicable.
- All pumpkins at the end of the event will be placed into yard waste.
- Particpants must be Newmarket residents.
All children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Photo & Video Release
Media and Town of Newmarket staff will be taking photos and video footage at Town of Newmarket Special Events. These images may be used, re-used and published in news stories, social media and on websites, in addition to distributed to our event partners.
