As a community "Well beyond the ordinary", we are a collective group of people who strive to interact with each other everyday. This interaction extends beyond the act of day-to-day activities, and includes an understanding that there are personal, original and meaningful moments occurring each and everyday within our Town. Regardless of how large or how small these moments are, they are important in defining who we are as a Town.
The Town of Newmarket believes that residents, businesses, and visitors to our Town should have the opportunity to leave a tangible and lasting legacy that commemorates these moments. The Celebration Bench Program has been developed to commemorate a special occasion, remember a significant event, honour a loved one, or express a passion for enhancing the community.
The celebration bench program is immersed within our green spaces that will commemorate a moment and enhance the park and community for everyone. A custom plaque will be inscribed with wording to commemorate your moment, and your contribution assures your recognition for 10 years.
Bench locations are available in any Newmarket municipal park subject to approval by the Town of Newmarket.
*Please note, the following locations are sold out: Fairly Lake Park, All Our Kids Park, Lions Park, Newmarket Riverwalk Commons, Main Street, Tom Taylor Trail between Davis Drive and Mulock Drive.
