The Town of Newmarket will be reconstructing the Fairy Lake boardwalk as the boardwalk is reaching the end of its lifecycle. Improvements include but are not limited to:
- Widening the boardwalk to meet requirements set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Installing drainage solutions to prevent flooding
- Installing rest areas for trail users
- Installing railings for enhanced safety
- Extending the boardwalk up to the Municipal Offices area
Drop-in for a public meeting to learn about the Fairy Lake Boardwalk Reconstruction Project.
- Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Location: Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive) inside the Council Chambers
At this public meeting you will get to:
- See the various design concepts on display boards presented by the Town's consultant
- Ask questions about the conceptual designs and,
- Provide your feedback on how you'd like to see the boardwalk transformed.
- Your feedback will help improve and beautify Fairy Lake!
